PARIS GUIDE: WHAT TO DO, SEE & EAT
Next stop...Paris!! Oui Oui! Paris was the last stop before studying at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany for 3 weeks. But... there was a day trip to another country close by, find out next week. Paris was amazing!!!! I knew it would be! Standing on the top level of the Eiffel Tower was a bit surreal, I was thinking "Am I actually here..what the .."!!. This time we were on time for our train, actually even an hour early!! I always think if planes can be avoidable then use trains, always love sitting and staring out the window.
The first evening in Paris was spent walking around, seeing the inside of the beautiful Sainte Chapelle, the Louvre at night time is really pretty with all the lights lighting it up and lastly eating crêpes. The first photo I took was the moment I saw part of the Eiffel Tower in the distance!!
After seeing the Sainte Chapelle we walked along the Seine river toward the Louvre!! So glad we saw it at night time, so beautiful how everything is lit up.
On the way back to our Airbnb I saw a shop selling crêpes! I had to eat one!! The guy making the crêpes asked if I wanted to make it! I wasn't too good at it! ahah
Day 2 - Started the day with a proper french omelette with ham & cheese!! Was so yummy! For breakfast, there was always the option of an omelette with juice or coffee and the choice of bread, croissant or a chocolate croissant!!! Next, we headed to the Arc de Triomphe which was really pretty but too windy, my hair was going everywhere and couldn't get a nice photo ahah.
Finally, the weather cleared up just in time!! Was so much better being able to see a blue sky instead of grey while taking pictures on the Eiffel Tower.
Day 3 - Went to visit Mona Lisa at the Louvre! Took nearly the whole day to walk through and see everything but was worth to see are the amazing art and the Mona Lisa.
Day 4 - Caught the metro train to Montmartre, detouring past the moulin rouge. While in Montmartre I got my portrait drawn and climbed the stairs at the Sacré-Cœur! The next morning we were on an early train to my home for the next 3 weeks in Essen!
