WHERE TO STAY
The second night of accommodation on the tour was spent at the Travelodge in Derry (Londonderry). This accommodation was the only place we stayed at that wasn't a hostel, it was really nice to stay in a budget hotel. Derry is the second largest city in Northern Ireland, on the banks of River Foyle and city walls which surround the old city
The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of space and a real Irish feel to it. All of the rooms are shared with the other people from your tour and all rooms offer large beds and comfy duvets and of course free wi-fi. Breakfast was included at this hotel, and it was a delicious selection of pastries, juices, pancakes, toast and cereal.
Location: 22-24 Strand Road, Derry Londonderry, BT48 7AB, UK

WHAT TO DO
The Giant's Causeway is located in County Antrim on the north coast of Northern Ireland. The large hexagonal volcanic rocks can be seen from the cliffs above! It is so magnificent to see in person, I couldn't believe that it was real! The Giant's Causeway was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a national nature reserve by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. It is one of the UK's National Trust Sites.
The legend of the Giant's Causeway is that the columns are the remains of a causeway, built by a giant. The Irish giant was challenged to fight a Scottish giant and therefore built the causeway across the northern channel so that the two giants could meet.
I suggest that you take the scenic walk along the top of the cliff and see the view from above. The trail then leads to some stairs that go down the side of the cliff and to the hexagonal rocks, where you can take photos and walk along the shore. There is a shuttle bus that runs from the visitor centre to the Giant's Causeway and is great if you are unable to walk along the trails.
If you want to see the Giant's Causeway a ticket will cost you £11.00. Buy your tickets on the National Trust website. Pre-booking is essential and you are advised to book by 4pm the day BEFORE you intend to do the walk. Your ticket includes access to the visitor centre, an outdoor audio guide, orientation leaflet, parking and of course access to the Giant's Causeway.

The Cliffs of Moher are located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare in Ireland. The sea cliffs run for about 14 kilometres!! The cliffs offer spectacular views along Ireland's coast. The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most visited tourist attractions in Ireland! You can see in the photos below how amazing these cliffs are. You can see some people hanging over the edge of the cliffs! The cliffs appeared in Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince and we were shown which parts were in the film.
If you want to walk along the edge of the Cliffs of Moher a ticket will cost you £8.00 (or £4.00 online). Buy your tickets on the Cliffs of Moher website or on arrival at the ticket box.
